Food safety regulations

Provided it is safe to do so, there aren’t any regulations stopping businesses from donating their surplus food to a food rescue service. There are however, some foods we are unable to accept – a list of these items is available here.

Waiwaste Food Rescue operates in-line with the highest food safety standards, and we will work closely with your business to ensure our relationship works well for everyone. Please note, we cannot accept food from homes – to donate food to Waiwaste you must be a licensed food outlet or professionally catered event.
